How do I Adjust the Appearance of Subtitles?

 

Which device you are watching with? 

 

With Chrome & Firefox & MS Edge (most compatible with Chrome)

  1. Play your favorite drama/show on KOCOWA
  2. Click the 'CC' icon mceclip0.png -> 'captions settings'

  3. In this menu, you can change text, font size, background, test edge style, window and font family you will see when your video is being played. Once you are finished, click 'Done'.

With Safari

 

With iOS device

  1. Go to 'Settings' -> 'General' -> 'Accessibility' -> 'Subtitles & Captioning' -> 'Style'

  2. You can choose your style or make your own

With Android device

  1. Play a video

Subtitles are too big or too small

 

If adjusting the appearance did not address your issue, here is what you can do.

Since our closed captioning option delivers subtitles as text, scaling the size of text, apps and other items might change the size of subtitles in the KOCOWA video player.

Please try this out in the following:

  1. In the background of Windows, right-click the background and click 'Display settings'subtitles_too_big_small_01.png

  2. If the 'Change the size of text, apps, and other items' section is set to higher than 100%, the subtitles displayed in the video will most likely be bigger than what it is supposed to be. What you can do is to change the setting to 100% when watching videos on KOCOWA
